CCBED is an established black led Community Interest Company based in the St Pauls Learning Centre, Bristol. Since 2014 we have provided accredited training and mentoring to nearly 450 adults aged 19+ in Bristol and the West of England, supporting individuals to improve their skills and move closer towards employment or enterprise.  

We are looking for an experienced candidate to join our team as the Programme Tutor who would be responsible for developing and delivering our flagship SFEDI Enterprise & Employability accredited courses.

This position would suit an experienced tutor or trainer who has an interest in delivering a programme whilst contributing to the development of the organisation as a whole.

Duties and Responsibilities.

  • To take a lead role delivering the CCBED training programme
  • To support the recruitment, induction and enrolment of learners
  • To develop individual learning plans, lesson plans, learning materials and portfolios
  • To support individual learners on the training programme
  • To liase with the team to ensure compliance with quality assurance procedures and regulations governing the delivery of SFEDI Awards qualifications
  • To document the progress of learners, for internal and external quality assurers when applicable
  • To lead on monitoring and evaluating the quality of training programme for learners
  • To contribute to organisational strategy and participate in programme research, planning and development
  • To monitor, evaluate and report on training programme activities to management

Person Specification

We are seeking applications from individuals who are:

Essential:

  • Level 3 or above Qualification in Teaching or Training
  • Able to evidence previous teaching, tutoring or training experience
  • Able to develop strong relationships with a variety of stakeholders. The role involves regular communication with learners: the Programme Tutor will need to be able to adapt to their communication style to different audiences and uphold CCBED’s high standards or professionalism in all interactions.
  • Committed to ensuring learners from all backgrounds reach a meaningful level of academic attainment. The programme tutor is critical to enabling CCBED to deliver on its mission and will need to be passionate about bringing about this change.
  • Able to work independently and use initiative in a range of situations. The programme Tutor will need to be able to effectively organise their own time and be confident in working autonomously.
  • Adaptable and open to learning. The Programme Tutor will need to be willing to adapt and to grow and develop within the organisation, as well as taking a lead on suggesting changes and driving programme improvement.
  • Have basic knowledge of using standard administrative/ office software i.e Microsoft Office, Excel etc

Desirable:

  • Experience of working with people from diverse backgrounds
  • Experience in project management
  • Experience of delivering training online
