Job description :
Full Time, Fixed Term – 31st March 2025
This role will drive the creation and development of a Food Talent Pathway with the aim of creating a strong Bristol-led legacy for the sector.
The scheme aims to work with local partners to connect people with jobs and training.
We know:
- Growing SMEs don’t always know how to find diverse local talent.
- SMEs also struggle to get a clear picture of all the workforce and business support available.
- Young people facing the greatest risks and challenges don’t see all the career possibilities.
- There remain higher levels of unemployment in our most deprived neighbourhoods.
You’ll need a keen interest in the food sector and and an understanding of how to engage SME businesses or simply the enthusiasm and experience of managing engagement projects.
The Food Talent Pathway will complement redevelopment activity at the historic St Nicholas Market which has a thriving food quarter and will also be supported by enhanced business support programmes across the City. Partners will be varied and many and we want to engage and deliver where we can add value.
