We help adults learn to read.
Readers meet trained volunteer coaches twice a week for 30 minutes each time to work through a structured, phonics-based reading programme, which takes up to two years to complete. Sessions take place in an approved venue that is convenient and comfortable for the reader.
This confidential one-to-one service helps a supportive and trusting bond develop between the pair, motivating the reader to complete the course.
The gained reading skills can help improve the readers confidence and open doors to new opportunities.
We have no eligibility criteria, except adults who cannot read but have the need and the desire to learn.
It is free, friendly and fun.
