Let’s talk about mental health
Changes Bristol is a peer led mental health charity that provides peer support groups in Bristol and the surrounding area for any adult suffering mental distress including symptoms like stress, anxiety, depression, hearing voices or simply feeling life is getting on top of them. Our meetings happen at the same time and place every week of the year and are accessed via self-referral. People can just turn up to the meetings and can access support for as long as they need it. Our ethos is to help people help themselves and to help people make positive changes in their lives.
We take on volunteers each year to help run the services in our charity and see volunteering as a way of empowering people and as a way of improving wellbeing and self-esteem.
Other services include our Steps to Recovery programme, Mental Health Awareness, Signposting to other services, Mindfulness sessions, and other wellbeing workshops.
