How you’ll make a difference
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Public Health Apprentice you will work in partnership with colleagues in Communities and Public Health, the Council and other organisations to improve health outcomes and reduce health inequalities in Bristol. This is a 3 year apprenticeship training programme to become a Public Health Practitioner gaining a BSc in Public Health (Hons).
What will you be doing?
You will work in specified areas of public health and across portfolio areas in line with the learning on the degree programme and the business need.
You will work across the three domains of public health as and when required:
- Health Improvement
- Health Protection
- Healthcare Public Health
To carry out this role successfully you will need to have good communication skills with strong interpersonal skills as you will be engaging with a wide range of stakeholders. An understanding of health inequalities and a willingness to develop your knowledge in this area is a must.
Things we need you to know:
In the past apprentices in Business admin have progressed into HR, Finance, Projects and this can include gaining additional qualifications funded by the council.
