Apprenticeship in Horticulture or Landscape Operative Level 2. Full time – 30 hours per week. Closing date Tuesday 13th June 2023.
Job description – This is an exciting opportunity to gain excellent skills and experience within a Heritage Estates and across Bristol City Council Parks and Open Green spaces. We are looking for two enthusiastic individuals who like working within grounds maintenance and in the outdoors primarily, and take pride in their work.
What the team does – We maintain parks and green spaces soft landscaping both for formal and ecological use. This includes a golf course, formal gardens amenity areas and conservation management. We also maintain the hard features within Parks including children’s play areas and landscape features.
The role – The role would involve assisting in the maintenance of soft and hard landscape features across various sites in the city. It will also involve inspecting features including play areas.
The apprentice will be based at Bower Ashton Depot but will travel around the city to gain different experiences.
Where this role could lead – For example: Through the development during your apprenticeship role both on the job and by gaining a formal qualification, you could be an ideal candidate to apply for a career in ground maintenance.
