With GCSE exam season almost here, I thought this would be a good time to get in touch about the great Level 2 courses available at Access Creative College.
Our Level 2 vocational courses are ideal for young people interested in careers in the creative industries but don’t quite achieve the required grades in their GCSEs to progress on to a Level 3 course. At Access Creative College, learners at all levels benefit from using the same industry-standard facilities, giving them a similar practical experience.
Alongside studying their vocational course, our Level 2 learners will also retake their English and/or Maths GCSEs with us, fully preparing them for their next step, which could include progression onto one of our creative Level 3 courses, an apprenticeship, or a Level 3 course on a different pathway.
In Bristol, we offer Level 2 courses in the following subjects:
L2 Music Performance and Technology – Great for young people interested in a career as an artist, songwriter, performer, instrumentalist, singer, music producer, DJ, beat maker, sound engineer, or looking to work on soundtracks for film or video games.
L2 Video, Photography and Design – Great for young people interested in a career as a content creator, streamer, filmmaker, YouTuber, photographer or graphic designer.
L2 Games Development – Great for young people interested in a career in the video games industry as a game developer, tester or concept artist.
If you identify any students who you think would benefit from one of our Level 2 courses, please feel free to pass this information on to them in your next careers 1:1, or by forwarding this email to their school email address.
Students and their parents/guardians can find out more about all of our courses in person by attending one of our summer term open days, which are being held on the following dates/times:
Tuesday 30th May 5 pm – 7 pm (printable poster attached)
Tuesday 18th July 5 pm – 7 pm
Open Day spaces are reservable using the link below.
If you have any learners interested in our courses who you think would find a busy open-day environment overwhelming, I am available to conduct 1:1 or small group tours of our campus. If you’d like to arrange a 1:1 visit or a group tour, just get in touch by replying to this email and we can get it booked in.
Finally, if any students would like to skip the open days and just apply for one of our courses to reserve themselves a place at Access Creative College, they can do so by using the link below
