We have an exciting opportunity for a Policy Administration Coordinator to join Avon Fire & Rescue Service within the Transformation Team. We’re looking for someone to assist with the management and maintenance of the AFRS SharePoint document library which contains all Service policies, processes, procedures, guidance notes etc.

The successful post holder will provide guidance and information to document owners at each stage of the policy writing / review process. Help policy owners to interpret the policy writing and review framework.  Advise policy owners as they undertake key subprocesses such as the policy consultation process and the policy sign off process.

The Policy Administration Coordinator is required to provide administrative support to policy owners as they undertake document writing / review, through tasks such as organising consultations, collating and distributing consultation feedback, and ensuring that documents are submitted to negotiating committees in a timely way.

It is the post holder’s responsibility to manage and maintain the AF&RS SharePoint document repository. Carry out routine data audits and regular quality checking on metadata and records to ensure data quality, accuracy, and completeness. File and archive associated paperwork (electronic and hard copies) as necessary.

Contract:           Fixed Term Appointment until 31st March 2024 with the possibility of extension or permanency

Hours:               37 hours per week

Salary:               Hay 9 (£22,183 – £25,481)

Closing date:    Noon on Wednesday 13th April 2022
