Health and Social Care worker

Permanent, Part Time 27.38 hours per week (4 week rota in place, including weekend working and some bank holidays).

East Bristol Intermediate Care Centre is a 16 bedded rehabilitation centre that provides a short term rehabilitation service to adults who are recovering from physical injury or trauma. The service user group changes frequently and our maximum stay is up to 42 days.

Our main aim and purpose at EBICC is to enable Service users to maximise their independence and return to their own home safely.

Your duties will include (please see Job Description for full duties):

• To attend to, under the guidance provided by the Rehabilitation Team, the care and support needs of service users.

• To undertake person centred care of those who are unwell, physically and/or mentally frail (including dressing, washing and assisting with eating).

• Provide low level healthcare tasks with particular attention to continence and care of feet, legs, hands, eyes and ears.

• To undertake social duties (including talking with service users and helping them, when appropriate, to maintain contact with family, friends and community).
