I am delighted to share with you details of our Autumn Term courses which are now open for new enrolments. Please find attached an Autumn Term Flyer and more detailed Information Sheet.
We have designed an adult learning programme for the year ahead that provides accessible, supportive and confidence building courses with a focus on working with individuals to identify learning objectives and progression pathways.
Our Confidence for Learning programmes are an essential starting point for adult learners wanting to return to learning. Designed to be short and interactive preparatory courses, they support learners back into the classroom and build confidence and skills to progress to further educational programmes. Learners can choose from courses with a Maths or English focus and will leave the course with an understanding of their Maths or English level and how to continue learning on accredited or non-accredited pathways.
Our Getting Started with English and Getting Started with Maths programmes begin in November and provide a next step for learners wanting to commit to a longer programme of study to continue building confidence and skills toward progression into further learning, work or volunteering opportunities.
For leaners wanting to achieve qualifications, Yes continues to offer Functional Skills from Entry Level to Level 1. Our 2021-22 courses will start in November for learners ready to study and complete exams in July 2022.
Our popular Dyslexia Support course starts in September and is for adults who have been diagnosed as dyslexic or think they are. Providing a supportive environment where learners can share experiences and develop knowledge of self-help strategies that will enable them to study and work with greater confidence.
How to Enrol?
We will be running Meet and Greet Drop-in Sessions one week before the start of all courses, providing an opportunity for prospective learners to visit our classroom, meet Tutors and find out more about each programme. For learners wishing to continue onto courses, paper enrolment forms will be completed at the Meet and Greet sessions and places will be confirmed.
To book a place on a Meet and Greet please complete the information or call the Yes office on 01179 739 744.
Our classroom space is ‘Covid safe’ and we will be monitoring the situation closely to ensure we maintain a safe and secure environment for our learners. We are running reduced class sizes and so encourage you to book early to avoid disappointment.
We look forward to receiving your referrals and enquiries.
