Women In Construction Open Event – 16 July

In support of the active agenda to encourage more women into construction, Weston College are excited to be offering a free open event that will give women the opportunity to experience construction themselves through taster sessions at our Construction Training Centre. This event is ideal for women (over the age of 18) who are considering a career in construction or logistics. Weston College can offer signposting to relevant courses or training opportunities to help women reach their career destination.

Throughout the session participants will be able to:

  • Drive a forward tipping dumper and a telescopic handler on our simulation site
  • Experience a 360 Excavator using the virtual reality pod for an immersive experience
  • Reverse a lorry

Date: Saturday 16th July

Location: Construction Training Centre, Locking Head Drove, Locking, Weston Super Mare BS24 7NA (free parking onsite)

Time: 11:30 – 13:30
