Ways2Work network meeting – recap and next one

Hi,

Here’s a quick run down of how last week’s Ways2Work network meeting went.

The next Ways2Work network meeting will be online on 20 July. You can register your spot now:

Bristol City Council is funding The Rebel Business School which starts online on 20 June. They aim to have businesses up, running and trading by the end of the two week course. Each day is a different module. Do the full two weeks or pick your days according to what you need. Other updates

We are holding a Jobs Fair at Cabot Circus (Bond St S, Broadmead, Bristol BS1 3BX) on 12th July 2022 11am until 2pm. If you are interested in reserving a table, please email bethan.thomas

Grant funding from £2,500 to £10,000 is available to new or expanding small organisations who are looking to lease or rent new property either for long term or temporary use, through the Vacant Commercial Property Grant scheme.

All organisation types can apply, including limited businesses, sole traders, charities, CICs, voluntary organisations, and arts and culture groups.

The grant can be used to pay for any physical works to the premises or any equipment a business needs in order to trade.

The amount of funding available depends on an organisation’s usage of a property and the length of lease or rental agreement they sign. This funding can be used to support short term arts, cultural and community projects as well as longer term business, charity and CIC uses.

Applicants will need to prove they can match the amount they’re requesting by 20 per cent.
