I would firstly like to introduce you to Lucy who works within our Community Wellbeing team, Lucy is keen to build a network of volunteers to support the work her team does by making welfare check up calls to clients think of it as a Befriending or what we are calling “Telefriending”
Telefriending offers supportive, reliable relationships through volunteer telefriender’s to people who would otherwise be socially isolated. The results of telefriending can be very significant. It often provides people with a new direction in life.
