As a valued partner of Talent RISE I’m excited to share a very special opportunity for young people in your network.
As you may know Talent RISE is supported by Talent International, a digital-tech recruitment specialist, operating in 17 cities worldwide. Every year in early September the company’s global workforce of over 350 friendly recruitment experts celebrates “RISE Day” by volunteering to support young people who are struggling to find work or progress their career.
Working in recruitment means that these volunteers are all experts in helping people to secure job and career opportunities – it’s what they do all day, every day, and with great success too.
For example, the company sources candidates for many well known employers like Fujitsu, EA Games, Spotify and public sector organisations including the Department for Education and the Office for National Statistics. It also employs over 4,000 tech contractors who work with its clients.
This year we’re starting our RISE Day initiative early. Between now and September 9 we’re aiming to connect 100 young people aged 18-30 to our volunteers* in the UK.
These volunteers are available to:
- Provide advice on improving or creating a CV that stands out from the crowd
- Provide support in preparing for interviews
- Act as a job coach/mentor (with ongoing support after the first conversation)
All support and advice will be provided via phone or Microsoft Teams, and young people can book calls at a time that suits them. To get started young people can register via this link:
Alternatively, if you have permission to share their info with us via the attached spreadsheet we can reach out to them directly and they can skip the above registration.
As well as receiving support during the calls young people taking part will be offered a spot on our database to receive updates on future job, apprenticeship or work experience opportunities. They’ll also be eligible for a free login to the Skillsoft learning platform so that they can develop their skills online and at their own pace.
This is an amazing opportunity and we very much hope you’ll share the attached flyer, brochure and/or social images with your networks so that together we can reach as many young people as possible.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me via email or on 07585 984 810.
*Note that all volunteers have undertaken an Enhanced DBS check and training in advance of being connected to young people.
