From: Gemma Roman <gemma.roman>
I work for a company called Qube Learning, we work with young people aged 16-24 to provide traineeships to help get them into employment or training opportunities.
Historically, our traineeships have been predominantly based in the North, however I have come onboard as a Pre Employment Manager to help young people within the Midlands and South. I have a tutor vacancy within the area and I wanted to reach out to see if there may be any young people you have that would be interested in a traineeship?
The 8 week traineeship courses include:
- 70+ hours of work experience placement (unpaid, but with support for travel if needed)
- Weekly 121 tutor sessions with employability skills (CV, interview skills, safeguarding etc)
- 7 week option available for young people receiving benefits
Our traineeships last for 7 to 8 weeks, they would become an employee for this time, and gain essential working skills and relevant experience to help them to become employable. This gives the student the chance to get into a professional environment and showcase their skills and it gives the company the chance to assess the student. It is with the view, that if the student was to impress then they may be offered an Apprenticeship or a position with the company – should this be the case, the tutor would then support with the outcome as needed. We work with employers across various sectors including retail, customer service, childcare and many others depending on the trainee’s interests.
I have attached a few fact sheets which will give you an overview of traineeships and how they work – but please feel to get back to me should you have any questions. It would be great to have a chat with you if you feel you have any young people that would benefit.
I look forward to hearing from you.
