Good morning colleagues – hope this finds you all well?
Community Learning are pleased to send you a copy of our new Prospectus for September, which has lots of free courses for adults aged 19 and over, including Functional Skills maths, English and ICT up to Level 2; Level 1 qualifications in Health and Social Care, Business Administration and Childcare; accredited first aid; plus a range of non-accredited short courses around digital skills, health and wellbeing, family learning, parenting skills, ESOL and career support.
If you could please promote this to your clients, customers, parents, friends and family etc, and/or through your social media and websites, using the suggested wording below, I’d be very grateful. As it says below, you can direct people to our website (Community learning and skills service | South Gloucestershire (southglos.gov.uk)) and Facebook (www.facebook.com/sgloslearning)
New FREE* Courses coming September 2021
The Community Learning and Skills service are pleased to bring you our updated list of courses starting September 2021. Please note that all courses will take place online during periods of lockdown, so please contact us on community.learning to check if your course is affected. You can also find regular updates on our Facebook page.
More detailed information about our courses is available from our Community Learning Development Workers – phone numbers and emails can be found on page 5 of the Prospectus.
We will be taking phone and email enrolments from August, but it would be great to see you at one of our enrolment sessions at the beginning of September, so that we can discuss your needs, answer any questions and ensure that you have chosen the right course for you.
Just pop along anytime between the times advertised – no need to book – and bring some ID and your National Insurance (NI) number with you. See page 4 of the Prospectus for venues, days and times.
For our online courses you will need to have an internet connection and access to a computer or laptop. If you feel you need help with this, please discuss this with the Development Worker.
*For adults aged 19+ with few or no qualifications.
