Hi!

My name is Andreea and I am an Operations Manager at Business in the Community. BITC has recently launched an ambitious new project aimed at supporting jobseekers into employment through coaching.

I am getting in touch as we are looking to partner with organisations like your who support people into employment and would like t join our mission.

The initiative started in May this year in 4 regions and we are now expanding into the South West, North West and Scotland.

Stats to date:

COACHES CLIENTS
Registered Trained Matched Registered Matched In Work
Total 307 214 204 214 213 12

Based on our community network and long standing partners, your organisation has been recommended for the area and we would like to have a chat about how we can work together so we can help as many jobseekers as possible.

It would be great if we can arrange a call or if you could forward this email to the relevant person in your employment and skills team. Below and attached is a bit more info on what our initiative is, how it works and how it will benefit your service users.

I look forward to hearing from you soon!

In the light of escalating levels of unemployment as a result of Covid-19, and the disproportionate impact this will have on groups already disadvantaged in the labour market we want to support jobseekers with a programme that equips them with the following:

  • Essential and digital skills
  • Improved chances of a successful job outcome – by increasing knowledge of the job market and building core employability skills
  • Enhanced wellbeing and resilience – helping them to stay positive and connected to the world of work

Through BITC’s business connections network, business volunteers will be trained to support beneficiaries through 6 coaching sessions which will achieve the above.

OUR AMBITION: TO DEVELOP A SKILLED AND INCLUSIVE WORKFORCE

  • GET PEOPLE BACK INTO WORK
    • 10,000 people ready for new jobs over the next 30 months.
    • PILOT: Match 200 clients with a BITC-trained job-coach.
  • BREAK DOWN BARRIERS TO RECRUITMENT

o A network of UK employers breaking down recruitment barriers and creating more accessible pathways

o Increased jobseekers’ understanding of the jobs and industries open to them.

o PILOT: Establish & test referral process in 4 regions/nations across the UK.

· MOBILISE THE UK WORKFORCE

o Harness the desire of employees to be part of the UK’s recovery from the pandemic.

o PILOT: Recruit at least five national employers to test the coaching model.

Kind regards,

Andreea Tudor, Operations Manager

I work agile hours; please do not feel the need to respond to this email outside your normal working hours.
