Mencap offer supported employment programmes for adults aged 19-24 who have a learning disability, learning difficulty, or autism.
Our next traineeship is taking place from 28th March, and we are currently seeking referrals from the Bristol & South Glos area. Please see an outline below:
- Train to be a Warehouse Operative with inclusive logistics firm GXO
- Gain work experience with tailored job coaching support
- Paid roles available upon completion
- 16 week programme
- Support with travel
- Improve English, maths and digital skills
- Support with employability
- Opportunity to gain qualifications up to Level 2 in English, maths and digital skills
- Won’t affect your benefits whilst on the programme
To be eligible participants must be aged 19-24, have a learning disability, difficulty or autism, must not have qualifications above level 3 after having left education, and be assessed to have a good chance of being able to progress into work or onto an apprenticeship soon after completion.
