Mencap offer supported employment programmes for adults aged 19-24 who have a learning disability, learning difficulty, or autism.

With our next traineeship is taking place from 25th July, we are currently seeking referrals from the Bristol & South Glos area. Please see an outline below:

  • Train to be a Warehouse Operative with inclusive logistics firm GXO
  • Gain work experience with tailored job coaching support
  • Paid roles available upon completion
  • 16 week programme, based in Avonmouth
  • Support with travel
  • Improve English, maths and digital skills
  • Support with employability
  • Opportunity to gain qualifications up to Level 2 in English, maths and digital skills
  • To be eligible participants must be aged 19-24, have a learning disability, difficulty or autism, must not have qualifications above level 4 after having left education, and be assessed to have a good chance of being able to progress into work or onto an apprenticeship soon after completion. Participants will continue to receive their current benefits for the duration of the programme.
