2x Lived Experience Facilitators – Inclusive Policing with Confidence Programme

Location: Bristol / South Gloucestershire / Somerset

Hours: Sessions of up to 7.5 hours per day up to 3 days per week. Sessions will pre-rostered to a timetable (must be available to work on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays).

Term: Fixed Term Sessional Worker from 1st September until 31st May 2022– must be available for work between 1 September 2021 and 31 March 2022 (not including 20 December – 3 January)

Salary: £10 per hour

We are looking to recruit a highly motivated and confident person to join WECIL in the role as part of a partnership with SARI, Babbasa, The Diversity Trust and Empova Consultants.

WECIL along with SARI, Babbasa, the Diversity Trust, and Empova Consultants are excited to be working in partnership with Avon & Somerset Constabulary to deliver a major, innovative and pioneering inclusion and diversity learning programme to frontline officers and staff. The programme is designed to increase officers’ understanding of and commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion, and build cultural competency through extensive engagement with ‘lived experience’.

Working in a team of 4 trainers and at least 8 Lived Experience Facilitators you will help to deliver the partnerships innovative and pioneering inclusion and diversity learning programme to Avon & Somerset Constabulary frontline officers and staff. The programme includes a mix of core workshops, structured conversations with people with lived experience, and conference-style events. The role offers an exciting opportunity to improve the quality of local police services by building the knowledge and skills of over 2500 police officers and staff and creating stronger relationships with our organisations and communities.

You must be available to work flexibly to a roster between September 2021 and March 2022.
