JOBS: CASS Community Engagement Worker – Wellspring Settlement

CASS Community Engagement Worker

We have an exciting opportunity to drive change in Bristol by joining the CASS team as a Community Engagement Worker for Inner City and East Bristol.

CASS is a unique service that works with community, equality and faith groups to improve knowledge, confidence and awareness of mental health and emotional wellbeing, and improve links to services in Bristol. Find out more about CASS here, and our recent work here.

The work we do links community resilience and development, equalities, and access to mental health services – all of which are more critical than ever as we recover from the pandemic and consider ways to build a more equal world.

As a CASS Community Engagement Worker, you will have a key role in engaging groups to increase their confidence and awareness of mental health and emotional wellbeing: maintaining relationships with community groups and equality groups; delivering workshops and events; and creating projects that will support groups to get their members involved in talking about mental health. Each Community Engagement Worker will take on a specialism around an equality strand, and we welcome interest from those with lived experience around equalities, and/or who are already embedded in a locality through work, volunteering or their personal life.

This post is 24 hours per week, fixed term until March 2023, and you will be employed by Wellspring Settlement. The salary is £21,496 – £23,573 pro rata per annum, with successful applicants starting at the bottom of the scale.
