JOBS: Bristol City Council – Casual Interpreter & Translators Vacancies

Good afternoon,

Bristol City Council are looking for Interpreters and translators in several languages, the list can be found in the flyer attached.

Interested candidates must have a professional attitude, be fluent in English and another language, have excellent writing skills in own mother tongue and have attention to detail and accuracy. Must be able to work on a range of ad hoc interpreting assignments and able to provide a confidential and impartial interpreting service .

These interpreter roles will primarily be based in Bristol but must be willing to travel to surrounding cities. They need to have an interpreting qualification or proven interpreting experience and be a UK resident.

The role is subject to a full recruitment process, referencing and a satisfactory enhanced DBS check at the cost of £56 to be met by candidate. The pay is £19.85 per hour and includes annual leave allowance.

National Careers Service are running virtual workshops on 24th Jan, 31st Jan & 7th Feb in partnership with Bristol Council (times to be confirmed). Candidates will be supported with the application process and how to meet the person specification ( details attached above).
