Highways/Civil Engineering Technician apprenticeship

How you’ll make a difference:

Assisting the Highways/Civil Engineering Teams apprentices will undertake technical tasks, duties and the various activities associated with undertaking civil engineering, road maintenance works and transport services for Bristol. Bristol County Council is responsible for the roads and highways within the county area, and you’ll be involved from day one on the planning and design of improvements to existing roads, new roads and the transport infrastructure.

What will you be doing?

Full training will be provided for you to work on detailed design, commissioning, delivery and on site supervision of small and medium scale highway improvement projects. The tasks and responsibilities of this role will enable you to complete the Level 3 Apprenticeship qualification Civil Engineering Technician.

Things we need you to know:

You will need to be organised, ability to communicate effectively, good team player, be reliable, and be willing to work to a civil engineering technician Level 3.

We are a Living Wage employer:

Based upon a 30 hours week
Age Hourly Rate Annual Salary
Aged 18 over £9.90 (100% of the Living Wage) £15486
Under 18 £7.90 (80% of the Living Wage) £12389
