Free social business start-up support programmes this autumn
There’s so much to think about when you’re considering starting a social business or community project and it can be overwhelming, especially if you’re running it alongside other commitments. That’s why the School for Social Entrepreneurs (SSE) are running free programmes in South Bristol to help you overcome the overwhelm!
If you have the seedling of an idea and are looking for guidance to get going,
Getting Started is a half-day workshop, taking place on Friday 15th October 10am-1pm.
This workshop will cover some of the basics of starting a social enterprise. To take part, organisations must be:
• Based in or working in South Bristol.
• Legally incorporated (or at least registered with HMRC and have a UTR).
• Able to identify as experiencing inequality or disadvantage.
The workshop will cover finance knowhow including recording income and expenditure and understanding cashflow, and how to write a good social media post to market your social enterprise. There will also be time for networking and creating connections with other social entrepreneurs.
