FREE Community Learning courses coming soon – Autumn term

Hope you are all well and are having a good summer?

Just wanted to let you know about some of the courses being planned in the local area/North Bristol, some in Covid-Secure classrooms and others still online or both.

Please do promote via social media and your contacts, flyers are attached.

Please do get in touch if you would like to discuss developing a course for your organisation/service users.

Intro to Health and Social Care

Prepare for moving on to a Level 1 Award course.

Starts Monday 13th September, 4 sessions, 10-12pm, at Lawrence Weston Community Farm

Family First Aid- We’re Going on a Bear Hunt

Non-accredited course with FREE book.

Starts Monday 13th September, 4 sessions, 1-3pm, at Long Cross/Four Villages Children’s Centre in Lawrence Weston

ESOL for Living in UK

For Entry levels upwards.

September start date, Wednesday 15th September, 9.45-11.45am, for 10 weeks, at Avonmouth Children’s Centre and online.

Brush Up Your Maths

For work or home, prepare for progressing to a Functional Skills course.

Suitable for Entry Level 3/level 1 learners.

Starts Monday 20th September TBC, 9.30-11.30am, 10 weeks, at Long Cross/Four Villages Children’s Centre in Lawrence Weston

Brush Up Your English

For work or home, prepare for progressing to a Functional Skills course.

Suitable for Entry Level 3/level 1 learners.

Starts Monday 11th October, 1-3pm, for 9 weeks,

ONLINE Digital courses – which can be offered in a Covid-Secure classroom – as below

Get Digital/Intro to Digital Skills

Beginner course, using Zoom, learners can use a smart phone.

Starts Thursday 9th September, 1-3pm, for 4 weeks.

Basic Computers/IT Skills

Improve your skills, uses Zoom, IT equipment could be loaned for the course.

Starts Tuesday 14th September, 1-3pm, for 6 weeks.

Intro Business Admin/Office Skills

Uses ITS learning IT platform, includes spreadsheets, power point, Word.

IT equipment could be loaned for the course.

Starts Tuesday 9th November, 10-12pm, for 6 weeks.
