Civil Service DWP Course

Have you thought about a career within the Civil Service?

The Department of Work and Pensions, in partnership with Weston College, are delivering a Sector-Based Work Academy Programme to support candidates through the recruitment process for jobs within the Civil Service.

Throughout this programme you will develop your skills, and knowledge and have:

  • A better understanding of a the Civil Service, the Department of Work and
    Pensions including the Work Coach role
  • Qualifications in Employability and Customer Service, two key areas that
    supports the role of a Work Coach and many other jobs in the community
  • Knowledge development in: Legislation, communication, relationship
    management, problem solving, an understanding of mindset, target setting,
    time management, understanding conflict at work and health and safety
  • An understanding of the application process and a guaranteed mock job
    interview for those who complete the course.

9:00am- 3:00pm Daily. Starts 19th July.
