Event Planning Online Course
Don’t miss out on booking your place on our NEW course, Event Planning, 29 April, 1.30pm
As lockdown eases it’s the perfect time to develop and refresh your skills to plan and deliver successful events both online and face-to-face. This course will help you to plan, deliver, manage and evaluate a successful event: from setting objectives and creating a project plan, to marketing and management on the day, through to gathering feedback and capturing results.
We will also look briefly at delivering a hybrid event which will likely become increasingly important as the event sector opens up gradually due to COVID-19. Hybrid events are, quite simply, a mix of live and virtual events.
The vision and big picture plan are certainly crucial, but so are some of the tiny details, when it comes to delivering memorable events. Learn about bringing all these elements together in a manageable way to ensure a stress-free event that creates immediate impact and positive word-of-mouth endorsement from participants.
Why is this relevant or important now?
The whole events process, including voluntary and community events in particular, has changed radically due to coronavirus. Planning and running an event looks very different now, with formats, budgets and staff teams changing.
Our trainers have over a year’s experience running online events via Zoom, plus many years’ experience running face-to-face events of all sizes and budgets for different audiences and purposes.
This course will help you:
- Set effective aims and objectives.
- Develop a project plan, including venue research, devising a simple budget, and planning your programme.
- Manage the process using a Gantt chart, monitoring and adapting and setting targets and milestones.
- Plan for online events and hybrid events.
- Marketing your event.
- Understand the principles of effective reporting and evaluation.
