Weston College is thrilled to introduce our new WECA Bootcamp Early Years programme. This course is designed to support adults aspiring to build a career in an Early Years setting. We have partnered with employers across the West of England Combined Authority who are eager to welcome enthusiastic, energetic, and eager-to-learn individuals as apprentices.
It is a blended learning programme with online activities and sessions, face to face training at our Bristol Training Institute in the City Centre and time spent on placement with an employer.

The Early Years Accelerated Apprenticeship Skills Bootcamp covers content directly from the Level 3 Early Years Educator standards. It includes modules on Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI), Safeguarding (including Health and Safety), Learning and Child Development and Paediatric First Aid. By completing these topics and demonstrating their knowledge through assignments and portfolio creation, learners can shorten the 18-month Level 3 Educator Apprenticeship by a minimum of 3 months and up to 6 months.
Placements will be 2 days per week for up to 6 weeks, providing learners with a realistic picture of working in early years settings. This hands-on experience will also help them to demonstrate their knowledge, skills, and behaviours, further reducing the required time for the Early Years Educator Apprenticeship. Upon completing the Bootcamp, we hope the positive impression you make during your work placement will lead to an apprenticeship offer from your employer.
